relativity +/-(RAW)

In relativity +/- (RAW), a section of the metal cylinder is cut open, laying its internal structure open to view. The gap between perception and measurement here becomes a literal opening in the apparatus — within it, the electric heating element burns to a glowing red, then lets its light slowly withdraw as it cools. For the first time, the passage of temperature becomes something to watch.

The hue of incandescent metal is matter rendering its own condition visible: from dull red through crimson to orange, heat states itself directly in the form of light, with nothing to translate in between. Before the thermometer, blacksmiths read their forges by these very colors — the eye drawing close to measurement, yet always stopping short of it. For what the eye reads is never a number, but the gradation between brighter and dimmer; even laid this bare, what the body grasps is still difference.

This is the rawness the title names: heat untranslated, an interior undisguised. Stripped of its covering, the apparatus reveals not an answer but energy in its most primal state. Beyond sound, this version lets the viewer look directly at heat as it surges in and ebbs away — gazing at a slow breath as it is burned into visibility.

在「relativity +/-（RAW）」中，金屬圓管被切開了一段缺口，內部結構就此暴露於視線之下。那道存在於感知與度量之間的縫隙，在此成為裝置上一道具體的開口——電熱管在加熱中燒至火紅，又在冷卻裡讓光緩緩退去，溫度的行經，第一次成為可以注視的事。

熾熱金屬的色澤，是物質對自身狀態的顯影：由暗紅、赤紅到橙黃，熱以光的形式直接陳述自己，無需儀表居中轉譯。在溫度計出現之前，鐵匠便是以這樣的顏色判讀爐火——以眼睛靠近度量，卻永遠停在度量之前。因為眼睛讀到的終究不是數值，而是更亮與更暗之間的過渡；即使裸露至此，身體所把握的，依然是差異。

RAW 之所以為 RAW：這是未經轉譯的熱、未經修飾的內裡。裝置褪去遮蔽，揭示的並不是答案，而是能量最原初的樣貌。在聲響之外，這個版本讓觀者直視熱的湧入與退去——凝視一段緩慢的呼吸，如何被燒至可見。
