CHANG Yung-Ta (b. 1981, Taiwan) works at the intersection of art and science, engaging with the subtle, often-overlooked physical phenomena and sounds of everyday life. Through rigorous experimentation with sound, material, and data, his practice explores the relationships among people, technology, and environment — inviting the body's other senses to engage with the world beyond the dominance of vision.
張永達(1981 年生於臺灣)在藝術與科學的交界工作，關注生活中細微、易於忽略的物理現象與聲響。透過對聲音、材質與資料數據的嚴謹實驗與研究，思考人與科技、環境之間的關係，意圖在重度視覺導向的現今環境下，喚起身體其他感官去觸診與開發這個世界。
His work spans audio-visual pieces, experimental sound, sound installation, and live performance, alongside collaborations with artists in theatre, dance, and music. It has been presented across Asia, Europe, North America and South America, including ZKM Karlsruhe (2025), Institut d'art contemporain de Villeurbanne (2025), GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences (2025), Centre Pompidou-Metz (2021), and Taipei Biennial (2020), among others.
創作橫跨聲音—影像、實驗聲響、聲音裝置與現場演出，亦與劇場、舞蹈、音樂等領域的藝術家進行合作計畫。作品於亞洲、歐洲、北美與南美洲多個機構展演，包括卡斯魯爾藝術與媒體中心 ZKM(2025)、維勒班當代藝術中心(2025)、GFZ 亥姆霍茲地球科學中心(2025)、龐畢度中心—梅斯(2021)、臺北雙年展(2020)等。
